Helyett is French bicycle company founded in 1926. Along with Alcyon, Automoto, Peugeot, Lejeune, and Mercier, Helyett was one of the top French producers of professional racing bicycles. Among the riders are legends like Rene Vietto and Jacques Anquetil. Helyett bikes labeled Heylett Speciale are the professional high end road bikes. Jacques Anquetil win 3 of its 5 tour de France victories with Heylett labeled bikes.
The bike is full original : painting, decals and components (exceptions : bar tape, straps, pompe and tubular tires). No dents, some patina, corrosion (for instance handlebar) and some chrome is missing.
